Home made bread rolls/loaves

Just thought of sharing these images of bread baked at home for the first time.
Ingredients:2tsbp yeast, 1cup milk, 4 cups flour, 2tbsp butter, 2 tsp sugar, 1 egg and salt to taste.

Before baking:

After baking:

This recipe requires good amount of time for kneading the dough and making it sit to rise in
order to get a good bread.

mix yeast, milk and sugar, let it sit for 10mins.
to flour add salt and egg+butter and the yeast+milk+sugar mixture.
knead for 10mins till u get a good soft dough
coer with wet cloth for 1 hr.
Later punch the dough to let air out of it, form a loaf or desired shape of bread roll.
cover with damp cloth and let it sit for another 30 mins
brush the top with egg yellow lightly
heat oven to 230degree celcius or 430 degree Fahrenheit
Bake for 30mins. its done..cut it out and check the inside dough whether its cooked. it tastes great when eaten hot.

  2. Hi raj,
I finally figured out by myself with my first attempt to bake a cake.
Step 1. Open the oven door. Look right at the bottom floor there is a burner
Step 2. You need to switch on the oven knob (Extreme left knob with the temperatures marked on it) and light a matchstick or lighter near the burner at the bottom floor.
Step 3. Let the empty oven heat itself for 10-15 minutes and after that you can put in the desired cake or dish to be baked.

I keep the temperature on 180degrees Celsius to bake a cake for 30 minutes. To grill chicken I again keep the knob to 180degree Celsius for 25-30 minutes. Also try cleaning the oven each time you use it to avoid and debris of food piling up
After I saw this video on you tube, I just figured out how to light the oven.
Copy paste the below links in a new window to watch the videos.

So far I have baked and grilled a lot of things like pies, cakes, cookies, bread, grilled chicken tandooris, steaks and hopefully more.

WARNING: You are not supposed to use the oven, griller and gas stove all at the same time. The cooking range might over heat. This is also mentioned in the manual guide.

I hope this was helpful to you.
